As far as Syracuse is concerned, with its 207.8 km² of extension it can be considered a medium-sized city, walking it is an easy and very exciting experience!

We start from the Tonnara di Santa Panagia, the northernmost attraction of Syracuse, after visiting this suggestive remnant of the typical Syracusan past and taking some pictures of the beautiful panorama we enter the Rossana Maiorca Bike Trail. We walk about 6 km of infinite beauty, between golden cliffs, hidden coves and superb visions. As soon as we leave we will find ourselves in via di Dionisio il Grande at the height of the Monument to the Caduti of the Sea.

Just cross the street and you will find yourself at the Latomia of Capuchins and after this beautiful immersion in antiquity, it will be enough to walk along via Maria Politi Laudien and after about a quarter of an hour we will be right in front of the Tomb of Archimedes. Turning around the tomb of the Syracusan genius we will find ourselves at the Archaeological Park of Neapolis and to expect us there will be the magnificence of the Greek Theater of Syracuse, the Roman Amphitheater and the Ear of Dionysius. After having filled the heart of the Park’s beauties, we will find ourselves in front of the beginning of Corso Gelone and, following it all, we will find ourselves facing the Pantheon a few hundred meters further south and we will end up on the Island of Ortigia.

Perhaps a little tired from the long walk, but with the heart ready to be lulled by the waves and the magic that this pearl of the Mediterranean contains.
