The HUB – Former Convent of Ritiro

In 1730, Pompeo Picherali built the former Church of Ritiro, located next the same name convent. Beacuse of the decrease of the number of the nuns, the church and the convent were closed in the eighteenth century.

Today you can admire the facade of the Church: four pillars with Corinthian capitol. And the stair, the bell tower and some arches of the cloister of the convent.

For a few years, some youth have transformed the convent in a co-working space for Sicilian social innovator. Considering crucial the possibility of increase co-creation, links and sense of community, “The Hub Siracusa” offers the chance to meet other entrepreneurs with whom share our experiences.

In July, its rooms will host Ortigia Sound System Festival.
