Aretusean Pupi Museum, which is located in Piazza San Giuseppe in the Palace Midiri Cadorna, is the first theme-museum on pupi (puppets) in Italy.

The association Vaccaro-Mauceri focuses the attention on the work of the Vaccaro’ brothers and their fantasy world, made up of Christian and Saracens knights, wizards, witches and monsters. A journey enriched by historical information that traces the highlights of their history:  the Vicolo dell’Ulivo’ workshop, the debut in 1978, the birth of their theater, the unfinished projects and their end.

An open book on some fascinating pages of Syracuse history of, now available to all. The research and promotion is done by the “Centro Studi sull’opra siracusana” housed in the museum.
