Piazzale Sanzio

For her restyling of the two ticket offices of the AMT in Piazzale Sanzio, Alice Valenti borrows some decorative elements always present inside the carts of Eastern Sicily, bringing them back on the facades of the boxes in “macro” format. She reproduces the same “magnifying glass” effect chosen for the livery of the art bus donated, a few months ago, to the city of Catania.

The geometric pattern is composed of “segments”, colored triangles inside which “cartocci” are reported. A decorative motif to which Valenti gives new light and a prominent position, consistent with her style that declines tradition in a contemporary language, shortening the distances between past and present.
