FAI Autumn Days – Discovering the Productive Gardens

On 12 and 13 October the autumn days return with FAI – Fondo Ambiente Italiano
Radicepura will open its doors to surprise you with the wonder of the Park and Productive Gardens for a weekend dedicated to beauty and the discovery of extraordinary places. Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th it will be possible to take guided tours by the Apprentices Ciceroni of the Comprehensive State Institute “G.Russo” of Giarre.
It will also be possible to visit the exhibition of wooden sculptures by Antonino Triolo , organized within the Palmento, entitled “ Woodwind “. A simple exhibition in emotional perception, both for the naturalness of the material used and for the easy aesthetic reading. The exhibition leaves the user the possibility of deepening universal concepts of ethics and morality, of existentialism in an increasingly distracted and superficial society in contrast with the pleasure of living in full human time.
Day 13 at 12.00 noon we will have as a guest Clark Lawrence who will present his book “ Half-gardener ” in which he will talk about characters he met in his life that brought him closer to the world of plants , seeds and gardens. At the end of the presentation there will be the activity of seed exchange among visitors , with the aim of encouraging a return to cultivation for self-production and self-reproduction of medicinal, aromatic and horticultural plants and for < strong> make consumers aware of the importance of using healthy and genuine food , not standardized.
Lunch will be set up in the vegetable garden area with BBQ and will be managed by Radicepura . There will also be a tasting of local DOP and DOC territory with the companies: Azienda Agricola Messina (Villalba lentils), The Aromatic Farm of Girafi di Gero Bonfante , Ancient Granary Farm of Salvo Passamonte , Sari Agricultural Company of Roberto Carbone (jams of Antiche Mele dell’Etna), Aruci Company of Melissa Puglisi (sesame nougat of Ispica), Alaimo Company of Gioacchino Lionti (Cuddrireddra di Delia), Russian Oil Mill of Giuseppa Russo , only on Saturday Bio Bio Company of Antonino Coco (organic honey). In the afternoon tasting Pietradolce rosé wine , which will have a separate cost.
