Theme of the Catania Off Fringe Festival 2024: The Three-Dimensional Journey
This year’s central theme is “The Three-Dimensional Journey”, inspired by the figure of Marco Polo, on the 700th anniversary of his death. Through performances, readings, and performing arts, the festival invites a journey within and beyond ourselves, exploring the different essences of the cities of Milan and Catania and the connection between past and future.

October 1-11 – Catania Off dell’Off
The city transforms into a true archipelago of theater and culture. This section includes a variety of events distributed across different neighborhoods of Catania, ranging from book presentations and conferences to exhibitions, concerts, and innovative projects.
October 16 – Catania In
The festival will be inaugurated on October 16 with a special evening in a prestigious and symbolic space of Milanese culture. Here, the companies selected for the 2024 edition, coming from all over the world, will be presented to the public.
October 16-27 – Catania Off Fringe
The streets of Catania will be filled with theatrical performances and artistic displays by professional companies from Italy and abroad. The performances, in various genres and languages, will take place in selected locations to offer an immersive cultural experience.
October 15-27 – Village Off
The Village Off is the beating heart of the festival. This space will be the meeting point for artists, cultural operators, and the public, with exhibitions, meetings, thematic focuses, book presentations, and much more.
