Capo.bianco: the roman street artist on the center of Catania

cap, aka Capo.bianco is a talented and famous Street Artist born in Rome in 1992. With an artistic education that is based on architecture, graphic design and admiration for the style of the Bauhaus.

In September of this year comes the commission of the Bank of Italy to create a majestic mural on a large surface of the Bank building, overlooking the Don Luigi Sturzo street. An ambitious project aimed at the redevelopment of the urban fabric that enters into dialogue with the historic district of San Berillo, the dichotomous soul of our city.

The young artist has surpassed herself by dedicating herself to the work of two walls of 700 square meters and 35 meters high decorated with a vibrant and attractive color palette, in which the blue, orange and green stand out and motifs related to its peculiar artistic language, enriched with elements that celebrate the capital of Etna, as in the upper left a majestic elephant, symbol of the city.

“I don’t paint because I feel like the champion of something that has to bring who knows what message – the artist tells us during a break – I simply think that, as an artist, I can work on several fronts. And I believe that working on the street, especially in a neighborhood like San Berillo, is fundamental to launch a beautiful message of redevelopment of this historic area of Catania, regardless of what the works represent”.

The goal of the Roman artist is to support the commercial activities of the area and its inhabitants, who experienced with difficulty the pandemic period of previous years.

The inauguration of the mural will take place on December 6, 2023, in Via Don Luigi Sturzo, in the area of San Berillo, and we hope that this event will attract the attention of all the citizens of Catania who we are looking forward to attending.
