ReBa museum

Culture, Museum and historical sites
Via Buda - 95131 Catania

The architect Renato Basile has always been one of the main exponents behind the rebirth of the San Berillo and it was here that he decided to create the ReBa museum (an acronym of his name and surname) that promotes numerous cultural and artistic initiatives in this little gem, in the heart of this inner city area.

The building, an art museum and a place for social integration over two floors with seven large rooms and a large courtyard, is a charming oasis where design, modern art and culture are intertwined. A library is being created on the ground floor – where everyone can donate books to – and a reading room. On the first floor overlooking a courtyard paved with lava flagstones there are several rooms that have been decorated with recycled materials such as colourful benches made out of wooden pallets.

Special events and tours are organised here regularly.
