In the Via Consiglio Reginale, it stands the medieval Palace said the ” Queen’s Council Chamber”, which was presided by the Queen, wife of the ruler of Aragon.

According to historical sources, it would be the first “political body” chaired by a woman in the Italian territory.

Of this fourteenth-century building (collapsed during the earthquake in 1693 and rebuilt a few years later) what is left is only the Gothic portal with a central bas-relief depicting “Saint Michael Archangel.”
The rest of the Palace, used for residential purposes, has been rebuilt and has simple balconies and arched doors.
