The Wild Asparagus Festival in Sant’Angelo Muxaro

The first edition of the Wild Asparagus Festival in one of the most important centers of prehistoric Sicily
On April 13th and 14th, 2024, the first edition of the Wild Asparagus Festival will take place in Piazza Umberto I, in Sant’Angelo Muxaro, in the province of Agrigento. The event will include show cooking, tastings, seminars, entertainment, nature walks, and visits to the village.
Sant’Angelo Muxaro is renowned for being one of the most important centers of prehistoric and protohistoric Sicily, with archaeological findings that testify to its significance during the Iron Age and Bronze Age.

Saturday, April 13th
6:00 P.M. – Seminr – Wild asparagus: properties, characteristics, projects
7:00 P.M. – Walk through the alleys with tastings
10:00 P.M. – Musical entertainment
Sunday, April 14th
9:00 A.M. – Festival inauguration, opening of stands. Musical entertainment
10:00 A.M. – Cooking show with various dishes
12:00 P.M. – Lunch tasting
3:00 P.M. – Nature/archaeological walk
5:00 P.M. – A River of Wine: tasting session on wines from the Sicanian region
7:oo P.M. – Musical entertainment and tastings
