Pablo Picasso’s works exhibited in Noto

A “journey” discovering passions that have accompanied the great spanish artist in all his life and during the evolution of his art language.

The exhibition

The exhibition, cured by Lola Durán Úcar, shows over than 200 works among drawings, oils, paintings, engravings and ceramics which describe the universe of Pablo Picasso. The richness and variety of the works gives back a complete vision of the Spanish master, telling about the most important themes of his works.

Politics, still lives and women with Deux Femmes, expression of feminine sensuality, and La Célestine (1971), 68 etching and aquatint incisions. Tauromachia (1959), 27 aquatint with sugar and drypoint works. Picasso’s works exhibited in Noto will give you a 360 degrees vision of the great master.
There are also many ceramic works, realized during an happy moment of his life, in which Picasso concentrates all its creative power. Round plates called “plats espagnols”, tiles with scenes of bacchanalia, creations dedicated to bullfighting and the section of the Bestiary, populated by fish, birds, owls and horses are just some of the pearls of the exhibition that we suggest not to lose.
