Palazzo Marletta Luxury House Hotel

IN THE HEART OF SICILIAN BAROQUE AND WITH A SUGGESTIVE VIEW OVER PIAZZA DUOMO STANDS THIS PLACE FROM WHICH TO IDEALLY TAKE A DIP IN THE CATANIA OF THE ‘700.

Thanks to the fine architecture of the building, the work of the Catania architect Francesco Battaglia, this boutique hotel has a metaphorically open window on the history of Sicilian noble life in the 18th century.

Built at the behest of the Marletta family, on the corner between Via Erasmo Merletta and Via Vittorio Emanuele, it has a project that complies with building regulations that prescribed the height of single-storey buildings, after the 1693 earthquake that destroyed the city. The ashlar in white stone, the contrast with the base in lava stone, the iron railing with a goose breast, the majestic entrance portal with an arched opening are some of the elements that tell the beauty of this dwelling.

From the main stair, you reach the noble floor. It welcomes you with different rooms, large about 30 sq m, with vaulted ceilings frescoed where you can sojourn. Topped with pavilion vaults, balconies and traditional hand-decorated majolica floors: welcome to Sicily.
