    A place seemingly frozen in time, perfect for enjoying one of the most evocative sunsets on the coast.

    Pozzillo, also known as ‘Pizziḍḍu’ in Sicilian, is a hamlet of Acireale in the province of Catania, in the far northern part of the municipality. The small fishing and farming village that stretches between the lava hills of Acireale and the sea. It is divided into two hamlets, Pozzillo Superiore – the hilly part – and Pozzillo Inferiore.

    This enchanting place is surrounded by lush citrus gardens and overlooks the coast of the Ionian Sea, just 6 km from Acireale. The prestigious British newspaper The Guardian compiles a list of ten European ‘ideal destinations for autumn holidays 2021-2022’.
