Popism
It opens at Palazzo Corvaja, an exhibition to tell the story of 50 years of Pop Art with 50 major international artists.
The exhibition is the first event of the “Culture Week”, sponsored by the city of Taormina and Taormina Arte, organized by Studio Soligo and Musica e Suoni.
80 “unique” art works, coming from famous private collections around the world and from important art galleries, are on display. They describe the Pop revolution that, from the end of the 50s, has influenced image, costume, advertising, and many other aspects of modern life. An innovative course that has changed the way of living the art, it all begins with Pop Art, evolving with Graffiti artists and Pop Surrealism, to get to the Street Art.

“Popism” is part of the programme of Emergence Festival (International Festival of Urban Interventions). Within the festival, in June, Dourone (Spain), NeSpoon (Poland), Jbrock, Zed1, Moneyless, Marco Guè, Salvo Ligama and Massimo Paganini (Italy) will be engaged in the construction of a wall in Giardini Naxos.
