Palazzo Platamone – Palazzo della Cultura in Catania will hold from November 24th to January 14th 2018 Pablo Echaurren-“Soft Wall” exhibition, realized and promoted by Fondazione Terzo Pilastro – Italia e Mediterraneo with Comune di Catania – Assessorato ai Saperi e Bellezza Condivisa, curated by Francesca Mezzano.
The exhibition is focused on the costant dialogue that Echaurren, painter, cartoonist and writer, entertains with communication expressions, passing through a research tenses to break down cultural separations and widen aesthetics boundaries beyond institutional ones.
The expressive ways of metropolitan graffiti, the lively use of colours, the art as direct information vehicle, the not distinguish between high and low are all elements that anticipate today’s street-art diffusion, and allow people to consider Pablo Echaurren a genre precursor.
