One of the most famous operetta is staged at Teatro Metropolitan: “La vedova allegra” (The Merry Widow), operetta in three acts by Franz Lehàr.
Mrs Hanna Glawary (Elena D’Angelo) is a young widow of a rich banker of Pontevedro. When the young woman arrives at the embassy of Pontevedro in Paris, the ambassador of Pontevedro is in charge of finding her a new husband in Pontevedro. So that Pontevedro will keep the millionaire dowry of Mrs Glawary in Pontevedro.
