The exhibition “Da Giotto a De Chirico. I Tesori Nascosti” arrived at Castello Ursino in Catania.

The Museo Civico del Castello Ursino of Catania will host from October 26th to May 20th the exhibition “Da Giotto a De Chirico. I Tesori Nascosti”, edited by Vittorio Sgarbi under the patronage of Comune di Catania.

The exhibition will cover a period of more than seven centuries of art history, from the end of the thirteenth to the mid-twentieth century, telling the precious treasures of the most important Italian private collections, starting from Giotto’s chiaroscuro perspective to the metaphysical painting of Giorgio De Chirico.

The goal is to enhance a hidden artistic heritage, not exhibited in public museums, through a review of over 150 masterpieces of art, between paintings and sculptures, which presents to the attention of the passionate public less known works equally deserving of relief, among which there are also masters of the level of Guttuso and Caravaggio.
