Metro Artists: Ursino Buskers

Two days of shows and performances inside the stations and on the trains of Catania Metro.
Gammazita, in collaboration with Fce Metropolitana of Catania / Catania metro and Comune of Catania – Assessorato ai Saperi e alla bellezza condivisa – starts the self-financing campaign for Ursino Buskers 2017, the International Festival of street performers in Catania (#UrsinoBuskers).
The street performers (jugglers, acrobats, musicians and circus performers) will welcome you with their art on the train and in the train station of Catania’s Metro to promote sustainable mobility. And they will invite citizens to support the fourth edition of #UrsinoBuskers and their itinerant performances.
WHAT IS URSINO BUSKERS?
Every third weekend of September, from 2014, the International Festival of Street Performers enlives the historic city centre of Catania with jugglers, acrobats, musicians, actors and circus performers for three days.
In one word: the buskers.
The activists of Gammazita association live in these places so they decided to take care of them everyday, by experiencing new kind of social cooperation and urban regeneration, and transforming public and abandoned places in centres for spreading culture and arts. Ursino Buskers is not only a three-days Festival, but also a wider project which lasts all over the year.
