TAOBUK: TAORMINA BOOK FESTIVAL AWARDS 2019

Saturday, June 22nd at the Ancient Theater of Taormina the Taobook Awards
A great evening of literature, music and cinema. A unique event that will see Simone Cristicchi on the stage, author of many pieces of even social importance, and Nina Zilli, one of the most soulful voices of contemporary Italian music, accompanied by the Teatro Massimo Bellini Orchestra of Catania, directed by Valter Sivilotti.
And then a lot of show with the director Marco Bellocchio, the only Italian in competition at Cannes, the great actor Massimo Ghini and Nancy Brilli, a beloved face already winner of a David di Donatello and a Nastro di Argento.
The evening will continue with two extraordinary voices of contemporary literature: the Pulitzer Jhumpa Lahiri award, an American writer of Bengali origin, and Ian McEwan, one of the greatest British authors, both awarded with the Taobk Award for Literary Excellence.
Finally, there will be a tribute to Italian fashion: designer Marella Ferrera will receive the Trobic History Award.
The event is part of the Taobuk – Taormina International Book Festival scheduled from 21st to 25th June in Taormina.
