To be visited: the permanent crib that reproduces the monuments of Taormina.

The church of St. Anthony, patron saint of animals, was built in 1330. The façade has architectural elements belonging to different age; influences of Gothic art, elements of baroque and Byzantine unite around the splendid portal.

This, made of white limestone, is topped by a pointed arch decorated with pumice black lava stone frieze.
Almost destroyed during the bombing of 1943, the church was rebuilt with stones retrieved from the ruins.

In the only nave is a niche decorated in gray marble of Taormina in which there is the wooden statue of St. Anthony. The church also houses a permanent crib that reproduces monuments of Taormina, as the Greek Theatre and the Cathedral, and other ancient monuments.
