Marranzano World Fest | Son’i ballu

14 July - 17 July 2016
Typical Sicilian musical instrument, marranzano is a symbol of Sicily. From 2005, Marranzano World Festival valorizes the rich musical repertoire of this instrument in the Sicilian oral tradition.
In its 7th edition, the Festival is now an annual date that promotes the cultural comparison and exchange with the musical traditions of other regions of the world.
Main theme of this new edition is the popular dance from Sicily to Siberia, passing by the Salento and the European and Balkan popular dances.
