Etna Comics 2016

In June the Fair Center Le Ciminiere in Catania houses the sixth edition of the International Festival of the Comic strip and the Pop Culture. To Etna Comics 2016 will participate guests of national and international relief: cartoonist (Esad Ribic and Simon Bisley, Grzegorz Rosinski Silver, Ivo Milazzo, Andrew Plazzi, Yumiko Igarashi and Midori Harada, Alfred Castelli, Giancarlo Berardi to quote some of them). And then Cristina D’Avena, the youtuber and cosplayer Yuriko Tiger and the BAO publishing.

Nine thematic areas devoted to the world of the Comic strip and the Pop Culture.

Comic strip: the right place where to find comic strips of every type, included previews and rarities, but also a place for meeting publishers, independent authors and the greatest masters of the sector.

Games: live hundreds of exciting adventures, fight and risk to die without making a scratch. Everything is possible in the area games of EtnaComics 2016. Ideal place where to meet old and new friends, or to play together with your family with great classical or fresh novelties.

Videogames: a whole tent devoted to the videogames’ lovers! An elevated number of postings to play live and challenge yout friends in tournaments with games like Fifa 2015, Call of Duty, Pro Evolution Soccer, Naruto and Tekken Tag Tournament.

Altrimondi: magic portal, star-gate! An area devoted to a trip in the imagination, a corner of the festival in which it will be possible to enter and travel with your mind, take a seat on the throne of the emperor of Star Wars for a photo memory, assist (or take part) to medieval fights…and much more.

Japan: the charm and the suggestions of the Japanese culture. The area, realized by the association Mangames, it unites Japanese tradition, fun and special activities.

Movie: devoted to the cinema of animation to the fantasy and the science fiction. With great sections: actors that will tell their own career, International Contest (with a wide selection of film and short films), Visioni Cinema (for young talents), awarding for the best horror musical videoclips and web series.

Junior: an ambience thought and realized for young boys and girls, where everything is in correct dimension to be able to fully live a magic experience in the world of the comic strips, of the game and of the creativeness in all of its forms and colors.

Exhibitions: one of the most important area of the Festival that offers many inputs to bring with you for remember unforgettable moments!

Stage: one of the added value of EtnaComics, the area expresses the imagination and the artistic vein of who participate in the cosplay contest and it emphasizes the dowries of the great people that with the respective concerts will animate the four evenings of the event.
