Christmas Markets in Catania 2023
Immerse yourself in the wonderful Christmas atmosphere by wolking through the Christmas markets of our beautiful Catania
This year, the Municipality of Catania has decided to promote the initiative “Centriamo il Natale 2023” aimed at enhancing the historical heritage in the heart of the city. In the panorama of events included in the city’s Christmas calendar, you can find numerous activities for all ages. Among the many attractions and new proposals, the expansion of the enchanting artisanal Christmas markets and the dedicated areas stands out.

Program
From November 24 to December 29 – weekdays from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, weekends until 11:00 PM
- Christmas Market in Piazza Università, where you can find wonderful artisanal products and musical events immersed in a Christmas atmosphere full of lights and colors.
- Every Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM: Children’s entertainment with Santa’s elves and Face painting
- December 15 – from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM: live band Son of Zion
- December 16 – from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM: live band Sventuras
- December 16 – from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM: Medley of the Musical “Alexander Hamilton” by the Ouroboros Association
- December 16 – from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM: “Arts&Chats” workshop by ARTernative – Silvia Vazzana (age: 18+; partecipation is free)
- December 17 – from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: “Cooking Workshop” by Sara Torre – ConSapore (age: 6+; ticket: 10€)
- December 17 – from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM: live band Just in case
- December 19 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM: “Zampognarea” by the Area A Sud Association
- December 25 – from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM: Gospel Choir by Frances and Friends
December 16 and 17 – from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Vecchia Dogana
December 17, 18, and 19 – from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM

On the Panoramic Wheel installed at Piazzale Chinnici (Ciminiere area), you can admire the whole of Catania from above, from Mount Etna to the sea (December 8, 2023 – January 6, 2024 / adult price: €7; children: €5)
