A tutto volume – Libri in festa a Ragusa

From 17th to 19th June, do not miss the appointment with the Seventh issue of “A tutto volume – Libri in festa a Ragusa”, literary festival in the baroque heart of the city that is a world heritage site.

A weekend that is entirely dedicated to culture, that ranges from fiction to current events, without neglecting food and wine, music and entertainment. 

A big space, this year too, will be dedicated to literature for children and young people. It will see, among its protagonists, Alessandro Sanna, one of the most renowned Italian illustrators.

The festival conceived, organized and promoted by Fondazione degli Archi, sponsored and supported by the City of Ragusa, the Chamber of Commerce of Ragusa and from important private partners, it is also supported by “Comitato per A Tutto Volume” (composed by booksellers and citizens).

The events will take place in different places of the city centre of Ragusa Superiore – the new city which was rebuilt after the earthquake – near to the Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista and near to Ibla – the ancient district.

“A Tutto Volume” combines architectural and natural beauty, charm of books and good food with the presence of three star Chef. In fact, this territory is known for its writers (Gesualdo Bufalino and Salvatore Quasimodo) and food and wine excellence (Cerasuolo wine, Ragusano cheese DOP, Monti Iblei olive oil DOP and Modica chocolate).

The literary festival will bring more than 50 journalists, writers, philosophers, poets, essayists, sportsmen, actors and chefs among the most famous in Italy. More than 30 events in 20 locations, six sections ((incipit, inparola, infavola, incattedra, intavola, inscena), about 50 hours of programming and thousands of spectators and tourists expected from all over Sicily and the rest of Italy.

In the festival program, it is also included the section Extra Volume which will give space to the cultural ferment of the territory.
