Travelling on train between wines and views of Etna

How does it work?

The people accompanying you on board the Train of Etna wines will tell you (in Italian and English) about the path that starts from the sea level and goes to in the territories of the Etna Park and the Alcantara River Park. To the right you will admire the Nebrodi, to the left the view of the majestic northern slope of the volcano. He got off the train in Randazzo, go up to the edge of the “hop-on hop-off” Wine Bus, which will reach some of the most beautiful wineries. You will have the chance to get off at each stop – the Wine Bus runs through them all every two hours – to visit the wineries and taste the best wines.

What is the program?

HERE you can find all the details. Starting from Riposto (until September departure is from Piedimonte Etneo, but are guaranteed the transfer bus to Piedimonte if parts from Riposto), the train will take you up to Randazzo. From there, start the Wine Bus to discover beautiful places. Here is the detailed map of the route.

When can you do it?

The tour is available from Saturday, April 30, on the following dates: April 30; 5, 14, 19 and 28 May; 2, 11, 16, 25 and 30 June; 9, 14, 23 and 28 July; 6, 11, 20 and 25 August; 3, 8 17 and 22 September; 1, 6, 15, 20 and 29 October; 3, 12, 17 and 26 November; December 1.

How much is it?

The tour tickets cost 23 € and can be purchased on board the train of Circumetnea Railway, aboard the “hop-on hop-off” Wine Bus in the information center of the Etna Wine Route of Piedimonte Etneo, in all resales that display the “Around Etna” brand and at all FCE stations. The ticket includes the train ride, the Wine Bus and a coupon to be presented at the time of the tasting. You can buy the tasting presenting the coupon included in the tour ticket, at wine shops and wineries listed among the attractive locations, at a cost of 12 €.
