Christmas in Piazza Mazzini with Ceramiche Iride is more colorful than ever

From December 8th to 29th, don’t miss the wonderful Christmas markets in Piazza Mazzini: a lot of events and unique products for both adults and children.

This year, the Municipality of Catania has promoted a beautiful initiative called “Centriamo il Natale 2023” aimed at enhancing the historic center of Catania. Among the many attractions and novelties, there is an increase in the number of artisanal Christmas markets and dedicated areas.

For the first time, Piazza Mazzini will host Christmas markets organized in collaboration by two associations: Le Pulci di Città and I Viandanti. Artists and artisans will come together to showcase their unique works and delicious handmade Sicilian treats.

Among the stands of excellence, you will find the splendid creations, entirely hand-painted and decorated, of “Ceramiche Iride,” a company of artisans born in 1985 and still, more than ever, in search of traditional but avant-garde creative and decorative techniques. Reindeers, angels, bells, and much more! If you love art and ceramics and you want to give a unique and high-quality gift, you can’t miss this opportunity.

Every day, among the Christmas markets in Piazza Mazzini, Santa Claus (Carlo Siena) will be waiting for you on his sparkling carriage. He’s ready to take a thousand photos with young and old and collect your Christmas letters.

Every day from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM – Santa Claus

December 16th and 17th

• “Comunicare è vita Onlus” will be present with its solidarity panettone. It is an association that, since 2016, has been working to promote knowledge and dissemination of Angelman Syndrome, a rare genetic disease, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication on the territory.
• “Christmas with Claudia’s Library“: 1) from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM – English books for children and teenagers, 2) from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM – Free mini workshops of collage and colors (duration: 15 min., no reservation required)

“Face Painting” (artist: Kathrin Arona – cost: €5)
