The “Infiorata di Noto” takes place every year over the third weekend of May in the baroque city of Noto near Syracuse.

From May 18 to 20, the streets of the city are transformed into a blaze of colorful flowers, an atmosphere that attracts many visitors every year. The event is one of the most spectacular events of the Sicilian Spring and boasts almost forty years of history.

This year the theme of the 39th edition of the Infiorata is “China in bloom: the silk streets“, as a sign of integration between different cultures. It will be an important opportunity to get in touch with the wonderful Asian country for citizens as well as for tourists.

The setting

Via Carrado Nicolaci, 122 meters long and 7 meters wide, will be transformed into a carpet of petals, scents and colors for about 6 meters. The visual impact will leave you breathless: at the top scenically dominates the Church of Montevergini, whose beauty is enhanced by the baroque exuberance of the Nicolaci di Villadorata Palace, with its balconies among the most beautiful in the world. The “flowers paintings” cover an area of 700 square meters: 16 handmade sketches in which the flower artists pour all their experience and creativity, respecting the theme of the year.
